Philippa Harrington

My name is Philippa Harrington, and I am here to offer you the finest in Holistic Therapies. I am qualified to IIHHT standards, and I am insured through the Guild of Holistic Therapists.

When both my children were diagnosed with illnesses that involved lifelong medication, I decided to learn Reflexology to help them. However, on completing that first course, I found I wanted and needed to learn more and that set me on the path that I am on today.

In 2009, I took a huge leap of faith and decided to unleash my skills on the public and so, Body & Sole was born. Initially I rented a room in Holmfirth at the front of an established hairdresser and slowly, but surely I began to build my business. In September 2011, I took another leap and took on the entire floor with the intention of renting rooms out to other therapists.

I pride myself on doing a few treatments well rather than doing a lot of treatments averagely and I can honestly say I love my work and I believe this shows in my treatments.

Each person who comes through my door is different, and I have the satisfaction of knowing that every one of them leaves with the same feeling of relaxation and calm.

I can genuinely say that I love my job, from little trims to dramatic colour changes, I just want people to walk out feeling amazing! I regularly go on courses to keep up to date on the latest products and trends.

I use Wella colours which I find fantastic as there is such a wide range, including the new “innocence range” for the more sensitive or product conscious. We stock Nioxin, Wella and Cloud 9, all products I love and believe in.
